A confidential brief vanishes on the eve of a high-profile hearing. Witnesses remember the same corridor differently, and every alibi sounds rehearsed. Phantom Detective drops the audience into a living dossier—rooms become evidence lockers, and the cast trades identities as quickly as the lights change hands.
The production is built for venues that want repeatable mystery without sacrificing actor agency: parallel threads, optional side-quests, and understudy-safe blocking so the case can tour with a rotating ensemble.
Set in a former Belgian embassy villa in Beijing, Phantom Detective opened in September 2021 across a 1,000 m², three-storey standalone building. NeXT SCENE positioned the product through detailed market research and delivered full brand planning—copy, visual identity, and experience marketing. As the first immersive experience crafted with a "cinematic" texture, it held strong occupancy in the Beijing market, amplified by celebrity hosts, Weibo / Xiaohongshu / Douyin influencers, and fashion-entertainment media coverage.
